Hello Rosebud, whenever my husband has has bad infections needing antibiotics and steroids (sometimes three or four courses) his breathing has recovered BUT it can take longer than we would like or hope. Take things easy and look after yourself with love TAD xx

It seems everyone is different rosebud, it is never until about a week after stopping the pred and ab's that I start to feel better. Others seem to feel better after a few days of starting them.. It's hell, just started my own emergency pack of pred and ab's and struggling badly. Just keep hoping tomorrow comes quickly and I might feel a bit better! Try and keep your strength up, hard I know, and eat (in my case, very hard), drink plenty fluids. Good luck, let us know how you go on. Libby x

Hope you feel better soon Rosebud, sometimes it can take weeks to get back to normal. Let's hope you get well faster but just in case really really look after yourself. TLC, keep warm, accept offers of help, loads of fluids, good food and most importantly if you don't feel well when the antiBs have finished be sure to go back to doc for a lung check in case the infection hasn't quite shifted........... That's a good antibiotic although I personally can't take it, too strong for my stomach.:)

Take care

I normally have co-amoxiclav which is best for me. Hope your breathing gets better soon.
