If she approached a professional homeopathic practitioner I am sure they will be able to prescribe something for her, it likely will be more costly but she may get a discount if she gets regular repeats from the same homeopath.

There may be another forum specifically for back pain / sciatica, also for MS that may be able to offer a greater variety of suggestions.

Good Luck.

Your friend may like to ask her gp to prescribe plant based "Sativex" It was specially developed for MS pain by GW Pharmaceutics in England. It is a licenced pure canibas nasal/oral spray and is said to be very effective.

I also do not like anything tested on animals, hope this helps.
