Without seeing them, I am hesitating to help you. There are so many strengths made by different manufacturers, that you need to ask your surgery to look at your records. Apologies!

Yes I have some, easier on the stomach, they are called ENTERIC COATED PREDNISILONE TABLETS. They are a shiny red.

I would check with the pharmacist though as well

Thanks Knitter that's the ones only I want to change the ones I have they give me indigestion I can do it next time I see the Dr lol xxx

Hi Bliss insist that you have the Enteric coated the other play havoc with my reflux I think they must be a cheaper version that why they give them to us.

Hi Bliss, yes, enteric coated. If consultant does put me on long term steroids again I must remember to ask for those as i have a bg problem with reflux. Good luck. Alison. Oh, and yes, uncoated ones are cheaper!

This is so basic, our GPs should know to give those of us with reflux the enteric coated ones even though they cost more, and yet so many of us seem to have to learn this ourselves the hard way. More appropriate treatment is cheaper in the long run anyway. jean

Bliss I have been on the enteric coated Pred for more years than I can remember. The others have me climbing the walls with indigestion. I tell them that every time I have a hospital admission but they never seem to have them. I always have to bring my own in, it was the same last week when I had a weeks stay! M
