Does anyone know how long you have to wait before the Work AND Pension people let you know if you are to attend for a medical with ATOS after completing your forms and sending them back....I've been waiting 5weeks to hear from them...thanks.

Hi swallow, I can't help you I'm afraid, but I'm sure someone will be along soon who can. In the meantime you can always phone the BLF helpline. They'll be able to answer any questions you may have about the whole process.

My husband waited about 8 weeks before being told he didn't need to go for an interview.

I waited about 6 weeks for the meeting date which was 4 months away and then 3 months for the appeal date which was 14 months away and this Wednesday.

I am taking the wife and I have nothing to lose so I hope that with new evidence from my cardiologist will help. It seems it is more economics than help now.

Many people win on appeal because the powers that be got it wrong, in fact appeal wins are nearly 40%, when will they get the message we don't do this for fun we really are not very well people.
