Hi Peppapig. I'm on Spiriva, and yes it is great.

I don't know how long you have been on it, but when I first had it I had quite nasty headaches. I thought I would have to stop taking it. My doctor persuaded me to persevere as he said often side effects go after 2 to 4 weeks. He was right.

I've used it ever since with no problem.

maybe give it another try then, ventolin doesn't always help and an eustian (?)

tube infection won't shift after 3 anti/biotics so not sure if the ventolin is the cause.

I wrote you a message but then lost it but not a problem. Lynne has given you similar advice so good luck. annieseed x

ventolin only works sometimes and a constant eustian tube infection - after 3 A/B

may be to blame, maybe try spiriva again, seems which ever way I go I end up with an infection and all these A/B really scare me.

Hi Pepper pig, my biggest problem with Spiriva is a dry, sore throat. But I couldn't be without it, I've tried and was much worse. I find drinking honey in hot water after using my puffer really helps :)

You should rinse your mouth out with plain water first. That should aslsdo reduce the effects of long term steroid use as you will not be swallowing the steroids.

Hiya Piglet, I have been on Spiriva for about three years and I did indeed have sinus problems to start with. My GP also told me to stick with it and after a few weeks the problem went away Hope this helps.

I am also on spirits for 9months now since I have been on it I too.was bothered with my sinuses something I hadn't had previous so went to the dr who prescribed fluticasone furoate spray which helped when it was finished it came back again so off to the dr again she had forgot to tell me it was something I had to use all the time it does help but its just one more thing to add to a growing list hope this helps ! I have been on Spiriva for 4 or 5 years but for the past couple of years I am sufferering with the worst ever PND and progressively getting worse, after reading your questions it makes me wonder if it was the spiriva that has caused it, it is the worst thing ever , I have been off spiriva for 6 to 8 weeks on a new inhaler now but the PND is just as bad nothing eases it, tried loads of nasal sprays etc it makes my life a misery (more of a misery) x
