I take it you mean pip,,this is a tough question, and you might have to phone atos up to find out what is happening,,just because our illness cannot be seen visualy, don,t mean we don,t suffer, it will also depend on how mobile you are with your illness, i do know they are behind with claims, many people are awaiting there results weeks later, Your blue badge should not be affected, as its given by the council, and nothing to do with dwp/atos. Hope you don,t have to wait much longer,,, chrissie

My friend with arthritic hands got his within three weeks, as l said they could see it. Had face to face 2nd April. Contacted both dwp and alto last week and both given me different info as to my case. Not fair on people like us with chest problems. As for blue badge if u have full mobility payment badge is issued straight away. Applied but told on border line so no joy, as still responsibly mobile,.

I had my assessment back in beginning of April,I'm on oxygen so they could see how bad I was,and I'm still waiting to hear the outcome.

Apparently they are way behind with these assessments

Good luck.

Here's hoping we both have not got to wait to much longer to hear. Fingers crossed. Meanwhile take care.

There is a backlog so they are miles behind it seems.

Actually offcut they aren't behind. DWP and ATOS have no rules about how long they should take only guidelines. So they can take as long as they see fit with no penalty.

My timeline re PIP only. 29/11/13 first claim phone call. Assessment 17/0314 , decision 22/04/14. The DWP and ATOS play games so don' be surprised if you get conflicting answers. I record everything.

I had my assessment 4 weeks ago after waiting 10 months, I was told to call in 4 weeks but received a letter on Friday to say they now have all the evidence and I will get a decision shortly - We'll See! Dreadful People!!

Had assessment 2nd April, had same letter as urself on the 21st, and heard nothing since. As l understand it their time factor reads 28weeks from first receiving application .They have been given all medical notes in my case, yet as its not something they can see, seem unsure how it handle the claim. Like u told four weeks, dwp however when u speak to them have different views on Times then atso. Although l am looking forward to getting that Brown envelope through my door l am also dreading it, as it may not contain the answer l would like. So it's fingers crossed.

Update. Heard l am not qualified for payment dispute have two damaged lungs and a shadow on one. Assessor kept comparing me with her asthma which is nothing like hers. Yes, will appeal, however have no idea what the report read, so in some ways shooting blind. Only given a month to appeal, that also includes the time it takes to receive the letter in my case a week. Hosp notes were sent prior but l am still under the impression if they can't see it they don't believe it. Not sure what we can do to change that.

Hi everyone, dwp contacted me by mobile today as they do to explain their decision not to except your claim, after a chat they have agreed to review my claim. Does not mean l will get my claim excepted. Have no idea what to expect next. So for any others who have been turned down, go for appeal.
