Completed Pulmonary Rehab.

Moved onto Pulmonary maintenance. Once a week on Wednesday a group meets in a church hall (too many people for a GP room ) to maintain a standard of muscle fitness that will see us through the bad times. Went for the first time last Week. My only complaint is the place. Here in Portsmouth there are a few medical venues within the city that would be much better equipped and safer for the sufferers. We have two physiotherapists present so that does alleviate some of the dangers but not all.

I went for a PR chat today - breathing techniques and again next Wednesday for a physical assessment. At the end of September, the serious stuff starts! I dont think my oxygen levels are brilliant.

Lovely pic Hannah! Glad you are doing the rehab, although unfortunate you don't have the ideal situation for it.

Just remember to keep those exercises up,when it's over!!

Love Wendells xx

There is no doubt my breathing has improved and now that I have been given a new inhaler the cough has lessened 50% I can now go up the stairs without so much trouble and sleep without taking cough sweets which end up stuck to my body!! when I fall asleep DANGEROUS OR WHAT. The magic inhaler is called Seebri Breezhaler. I think a combination of the inhaler, exercise and support on this site have all contributed to my steady improvement .

Hi Hannahmac,I live in Portsmouth and do my maintenance exercises at a local community centre, I find it great and lots of room, we have 2 physio's as well, I can recommend it you like.

Best Wishes

We are in church hall and being an retired cardiac tech. my fear is we might need a resus trolley. More likely in this situation then in M&S where they have one!!
