That's excellent Bliss - you are obviously working very hard. xx
Where do you find the will-power to actually go? I've always got loads of good intentions when it comes to exercising, but I always seem to find a very good reason as to why I can't do it today, but I will tomorrow.
I was told that exercise helped an I want to live a bit longer I'm 69 years old 70 in Jan I don't smoke an never have my COPD I've got through working in the rag trade not rags as such but cloths I used to be a sewing machinist for Eastex an littlewoods worked in it for 55years so at the moment why I can I make myself go as it as helped me lol xx
I walked half a mile at normal speed to the beach yesterday without stopping and not getting SOB. A little bit puffed out was all.
Odd really as I had to go to A&E on Friday night ( for the first time this year, I believe ) as I couldn't shift an infection with the normal emergency pack. IV of steroids soon got me back to rights and I drove home about 3 hours later. Very good and attentive doctor too. I couldn't raise him enough.
Same here Puff, some days I can walk for a couple of miles, (albeit at a stroll). Other days I can hardly make it to the end of the street. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it either, so it's not as if you can say I won't do x today, because I want to do y tomorrow.
As I've been diagnosed with very severe emphysema, I just don't understand it sometimes.
Oops. Well done Bliss. Don't overdo it but keep it up. I find exercise the best thing for this annoying problem
That's great Bliss. I too go to the gym although it has been a few weeks since I went now. Partly being ill and now so much to do at the allotment. Digging and weeding is quite a good substitute though.

I'd say digging and weeding is a bit excessive. I was thinking more of the cycling machine, the leg press or the hand weights. Something where I can sit or lie down with my eyes closed while I'm doing it. ??
Hi Bliss - good your doing well with the gym, I just finished my PR course and have joined the gym, I mainly just walk on the treadmill, and do the exercise bike. But want to keep doing it as my shuttle walk test was 240m when i started and 540m after 7 weeks. So it has to be good I'm thinking.

Congratulations you must have been very dedicated my husband can always find an excuse no to exercise Tadx x
