Its 28.8 degrees Celcius inside and......

39C outside in full sun. 33C in the shade, where I am.

That's Inside 83.84F Outside full sun 102.2F Outside in the shade 91.4F

What temperatures is everyone coping with at the moment?

In the shade outside feels cooler than inside, probably because there is a slight breeze. Just going to shade a little outside :) I always keep windows closed and curtains drawn on the sunny side and if the temperature is cooler than inside on the shady side I open the windows.

Hope everyone is keeping cool as they can be.

Best wishes BC

dunno as I haven't got a thermometer.

It's cool - until the sun comes round - in the room I'm in at the moment but just off to the park to The annual Teddy Bears Picnic to I'm sure I'll be perspiring just a little. :D

it was great BlakeyC. I was running the Best Dressed Teddy competition. I had a chart on which to write: Teddy's name, childs name, carers name and number & what teddy was wearing (birthday suit went down quite often). They were great, 60+ toddlers with all manner of cuddlies dressed in all manner of outer wear including their winter woolies.

Prizes for the 5 best dressed + a lolly prize for all. No-one cried and the only little boy lost was found, phew! My back is slightly killing me now but so worth it.

Next park function will be the teenagers music competition in September then Guy Fawkes in Nov.

I'm so going to miss my little community when I leave in the not too distant future (unless of course I win the lottery to pay off mortgage).

Have you managed to get out? xx

Hi Peeg sounds like a lot of fun was had by all, hope you got an ice lolly too :)

Oh so say you have to leave the community Peeg, I am wishing for you lots and lots of luck or a way you can stay in the community.

I managed 30 min in the shade weeding and then I was overheated, been inside since, just going out again to water shortly.

Tomorrow will be a big test have to go to the hospital for appointment, wish I had air conditioning in the car. I will go with my cool towels, fan, ice pack and water.

We have red zone and amber heat health alert in the south.

Great chatting with you :)

30C indoors - my thermometer outdoors fell off the wall so no idea but guessing quite hot LOL :D

in reply toscrobbitty

Is that on the sunny side with curtains open?

I am 28.8 on shady side! I've just drawn curtains as the sun is about to fall on this side.

Yep quite hot to very hot ;) Keep cool :)

On the sunny side but it doesn't reach the indoors - it whooshes into the conservatory first LOL. Fan on and doors wide open to get a through breeze and now up to 32C.

Didn't think it was that hot as it was overcast early on but I have just been out to the dustbin and it is very hot.Going out to lunch soon and we have chosen a pub where we can sit outside.Yesterday seemed to be the hottest day here in Lancashire.I was in Fleetwood near Blackpool on Monday and it rained.

Round about the same temperatures here in the south of the west midlands, no rain for a long time, grass is brown everywhere from thirst.just goes from one extreme to another.keep the fluid flowing everyone as there's no sign of change for the immediately coming days
