Lung function test results help please

We have just had a letter from my husband's consultant, saying that "in his recent lung function tests there is a 15% drop in his diffusing capacity, while his FVC has remained stable" I would be grateful for people's thoughts regarding this as not really sure what it means....

Your best bet would be to call the nurses on the BLF helpline. They are very knowlegable and friendly. The nUmber is 03000 030 555.

I'm sorry I can't help you with your question, however I think there is a search box here somewhere works a bit like Google. If you put in the vital words some old answers to this should come up.
