Hi everyone
I wanted to let you know that I have heard from my son, David, to say that he saw a surgeon in Bristol Royal Infirmary yesterday who told him that his latest scan is clear - no cancer anywhere!!!!!
He will be having his bowel joined back up within six weeks.
A big thank you to everyone who sent me kind messages when things were in the balance.

Brian is having his 3rd chemo tomorrow, and feels better than he did before it started. Cons. says he is the 1 in 4 who isn't affected but only time will tell. Thanks so much for your message, pepsicoley xx

What wonderful and uplifting news So glad you shared this with us Please give your son our congratulations and wish him all the best for his op in 6 weeks time. I too thought of Annie and Brian - she said he is having another chemo session tomorrow. I hope and pray that they have the same outcome as my son, his father and I have had.
David was diagnosed in September last year and it has seemed such a very long time since then.

I'm so pleased that this episode in David's life has finished. I know that there is no guarantee that the cancer won't come back but I do hope that it doesn't.
