What a great day me and Fran had out, the weather was superb all day in fact we were still out at 8pm and it was still warm and sunny, the pipe and drum bands were also brilliant it took a team from Ireland to beat Bathgate in the final they were expected to win but who cares everyone enjoyed themselves, I did suffer a little bit during the night but believe me it was worth it, I have some great photographs when I learn to put of some them on blog I will do so, Enjoy the rest of the weekend and when Celtic win the Scottish Cup that will make my weekend complete, mattcass

A Great Day Out.
Sounds like fun, they had the battle of the bands in this area I didn't go my daughter and son did and really enjoyed it. Nice isn't it when you have something to blame for being out of sorts especially when you have enjoyed it
Sounds brilliant I love the sound of the pipes; we used to have a lone piper who played every evening before the sun went down where I lived in Scotland as a wee lassie
With any luck someone will have burst his bagpipes. Spend 10 years living next door to a "budding" piper .... never did get to full bloom, thank goodness. The noises he created was enough to turn this scot into a bagpiping hater .... sorry.... but I had to say it. To this day I still cringe at the sound.....and therapy is not helping
So that CD of the pipes I got you for Christmas won't go down well then ?
It's the thought that counts, I say .............and the plunger will aid it on it's way down the u-bend of the loo x x x
Dont mind bagpipes - a haunting sound and I live in Herts.
So glad you and Fran had a good day out, and enjoyed yourselves. The weather yesterday was glorious, wasn't it x x x
I was working in Bathgate a few years ago when the band competitions were on. It's a huge event there. In fact I was in West Lothian 3 years running at the same time if year. The home of Susan Boyle. I heard many stories.

Hey MC, maybe we should take up playing the pipes for some lung exercise and theropy.
I think along with my singing it may be the final straw round here, can't understand why there are so many 'for sale' signs close by. Ha Ha.
Great to see you had a good day out with Fran. I'm sure she kept a good eye on you,
Tony
