It's been a lovely day today.

I wish I'd taken everyone's advice and taken it easy. After I'd written my last post I was out of breath for 45 mins and was beginning to panic. What I'd stupidly done is a bit of exercise. I did 10 wall push offs, slowly, nothing like as fast as I usually do them. Then I went upstairs for my laptop and while there did 10 more. Then I took the laptop downstairs, wrote the post and took it back upstairs. The breathlessness was there but seemed to build up more and more and I started to panic a bit. I took two puffs on my Ventolin inhaler but after 30 mins needed another two puffs. After another 15 mins I started to calm down but it scared me for the rest of the evening. From now on I'll take it steady!

Today I had my MRI Scan for the trapped spinal nerve we think I've got. I've never had an MRI before and I'd heard a lot about them so I was expecting to be claustrophobic but I just shut my eyes and relaxed to it. It was the noise more than anything that was irritating.

The main thing today has been the beautiful weather! I've sat in the garden chatting with my mum and reading. I went to a local retail outlet with her to buy my nephews girlfriend a birthday present and also to buy a good friend of mine a present because she's helped me out a lot over my last two spells in hospital.

I'm looking forward to another nice day tomorrow and hopefully Monday too.

The weather here in the North of Scotland has been glorious all day - there was snow at Tomintoul on Friday!! A friend of mine had trapped spinal nerves and she was in a lot of pain. Hope they find a solution to yours soon. I never find the Ventolin helps me that much. I usually have to take it loads of times if I'm short of breath.

Glad you had a good day Wiggins. It's been nice weather here too, and I managed the shops too.

:) Anna

Glad you have had a good day Wiggin, me too :) - its been wonderful, I too am looking forward to another day of the same tomorrow :)

Hope your results of the MRI show promise of a fix.

Keep enjoying the weather and rest when you need to.

Have a great evening.

Sorry KOTC. I misread your post first time round and thought the word " digging " said something else. :D

We all need reminding to take things easy. If only we could learn to pace ourselves but I think we're all the same at the end of the day we just want to be well and "normal".
