Some days if feel that I have no E and could climb Mount Everest (well.....figuratively) and yet on the following day I seem to gasp for breath at the mere mention of the word "exertion" and yet everything else, meds, exercise etc., is just the same. Funny ain't it! Stay well Martin

Every day is different

yes martin this is so true was only saying the same few weeks ago on here how some days you feel so good you think theres nothing wrong with you and feel happy and then i remember that there is and feel sad
all the best keep going mate
try not let it beat you
hi martin 1945 that seems a short time from when diagnosed at mild to moderate then on to stage 4 and your sats seem ok..may i ask how much your exercise that you could do has reduced to now..has in walking
Hi Music...I was diagnosed in January 2000 after I decided to give up the weed and get fit. At the time, I couldn't run but competed in a 5 km walk (it was really a run, but those hills really got to me!) and finished in 48 minutes, I started a concerted exercise regime, which I have continued to this day, although I have gone from walking 5 kms in an hour with no rests and no real breathlessness to about 2.2 kms in an hour with rests every 10-15 minutes and pretty much SOB most of the time. Recovery time about 2 minutes Obviously I am 13 years older and this must be taken into account. Keep fit Martin
So true, some days I feel as if I could just about do anthing next day bump it's gone. It was a good day when I saw the nurse a week ago and had to blow in the machine, the result was about the same as last year and my sats were good but I know I've deteriorated a bit, the good results were because it was a good day and the sun was shinning.

As I have just been saying, like libbygood, I do feel we are all governed by the weather. How to deal with it, depends on the individual. Coming on here really helps me and talking. see the sun and I feel my mood lifting. Good luck, martin
Some days my husband is up and ready for action - gets loads of things done but for no apparent reason can wake up with absolutely no energy, feeling very SOB. Those days are quite depressing - so remember to enjoy the good days!! TAD xx
For several reasons in the last week I was unable to take my usual 2 water tablets. I am now struggling to breathe and move about and excercise as much as I usually do. I wonder if water is getting into the lung area. Any thoughts apreciated. Love all Bobby xxx
Hi Bobby, I am the same and when I saw the respiratory nurse yesterday I asked her why some days the tablets didn't seem to have any effect she said it was because I wasn't drinking enough, but it would still make me feel more breathless because it wasn't moving the fluid from round the heart and lungs. Hope this makes sense and on the days I can't take the tablets I am worse too. Keep smiling.
