Mixed bag

I have had a persistent rash for around 12 months. Doctors/nurses cannot diagnose. Around 12 months ago my asthma nurse upped my fostair from 100/6 to 200/6. I have now had a recent blood test, and all ok apart from high serum t4 (overactive thyroid).

My question is, are any of the above related. Rash/ high t4. Bit of a mix up I know. Can anybody throw light on the symptoms.

A rash is a sign of an allergy, have you tried antihistamines? You can become allergic to things your system previously tolerated, drugs, food, even washing powder- took me years to find that out myself, I now use non bio. You don't say where rash is, if localised could be mites, general could be anything so look at your life. As one that is allergic to absolutely everything, I have had to track down the causes myself every time. Good luck! Happy Easter too ( test choc see if it makes rash worse? Sorry.) 🐣🤗

Thank for your reply. Tried antihistamines as first told it`s an allergy. They did not work, and then told it was scabies, it was not, treatment did not work. Checked some of the more obvious things like shampoo, soaps, etc.

I have another blood test on Tuesday, so I will see what that shows.

Have you had all allergy tests?

Last blood test results showed an allergy to grass pollen, but that is not applicable at the moment. I have not been referred to a consultant. The last doctor just looked at the rash for a minute and said scabies. In out , prescribed cream and that was that. Absolute waste of time.
