Fostair and facial rash

I've been on 200/6 for 3 weeks and have developed a red spotty rash on both cheeks.... I'm 52 (not a teenager). Has anyone else had this? Xx

I've been exactly the same since I started on Symbicort 200/6. It started as a series of tiny blisters.

At first they thought I had shingles as they were just down one side of my face. Then when they appeared on the other side as well I was prescribed cream for a bacterial infection but it hasn't gone. That was a month ago now.

Mine is very dry like excema but with tiny spots in. Am going back to my consultant next week so will ask him what he thinks.

I don't know if this will help but I have been on Fostair for a while but got an extensive body rash last summer when I was prescribed medication for acid reflux. The very itchy rash consisted of tiny blisters and like you I thought they might be shingles (or prickly heat) but unlike you I didn't have it on my face. It was much worse in heat and bright light. My GP said it wasn't shingles and prescribed an anti histamine and an emollient cream which cleared it up. I stopped taking the acid reflux medication

I've been told to stop the Fostair and have been given Qvar.... we'll see what happens! Thanks for all your help xx
