Welcome to the forum.hope u have antibiotics/ steroids for chest infection.you sound very congested with ears, sinuses and chest.hope u soon feel better
Welcome to the forum. Drixoral isn't for long term use, and anything beyond 7 days can cause rebound symptoms and congestion can become worse. I found out the hard way when my doctor prescribed similar and it just made things worse after the initial relief.
I found a steroid nasal spray helpful for nasal congestion, but it does take time for it to work and technique is really important, keeping the spray in the nasal cavity for as long as possible without it going down the back of the throat. YouTube has some really helpful vids suggesting various good practice.
A short course of Prednisolone may be an option, as you're also wheezy and it could help tackle any ear inflammation. But that's something for you to discuss with your doctor.
Nasal polyps or congestion can cause ear problems, whether it's an allergy or infection or an inflammatory disease, only testing can establish the root cause, followed by relevant treatment.
If the Drixoral isn't having much of a positive effect then try and see your doctor sooner than 3 weeks. They may have to find a better way to address the blocked ears and the fact that you now have worsening symptoms that need treatment.
Some asthmatics are sensitive to aspirin and NSAIDs, like ibuprofen, and this can cause nasal and ear problems, on top of asthma flare ups. Has your ENT tested for that? You don't have to be taking aspirin etc for symptoms to occur, it's an inflammatory disease that is sometimes overlooked.
I'm on the side of seeing your doctor now rather than in 3 weeks, primarily as your asthma has become worse and needs early attention.
All the best.
