I have not had a flare up in the past 3 years. Have been working from home in that time which has removed me the majority of triggers. However I had a cold/flu which spread to my chest. Went to the docs last Monday and was started on 5 day course of antibiotics and steroids which finished on Friday. Slight improvement but still have a chesty cough which is keeping me up at night. Question do I contact the docs again for further steroids

Hi, I have just written a nearly identical post…’I don’t know what to do’ …everyone advised me to contact my team again so I’m guessing I would now say to you, give them a call in the morning! I too have had a really chesty cough that I can’t get rid of but I don’t think is now infected but it’s definitely not ok!!!
The last time I had a similar cough and chest infection I was prescribed a week's worth of an antibiotic, and prednisolone for a week. I was still coughing into the second week, so saw a GP and was given another week of antibiotics, and the coughing had stopped by the end of that week.
Seen doctor this morning and another round of antibiotics and steroids prescribed. Fingers crossed this will be sufficient to finally turn things around.
