Montelukast and indigestion

I have been taking Montelukast with good results for 4 years but the last couple of weeks soon after taking it I am suffering from terrrible burping and indigestion realy awful and lasts about an hour of discomfort almost making want to stop taking it, has anyone else had this.

I have the slow release ones for the same reason and it has stopped it.🥰

Monkelaust isn't an inhaler but a tablet.

Just a thought, is it the same brand/box you usually have? Sometimes different brands have different ingredients even though the active ingredient is the same. xx

Please don't stop any medication without discussing with your GP/asthma nurse. It's worth discussing this with them anyway if it's recent - as someone else has said it may be just one brand of it. If so you could ask them to prescribe a brand you're ok with.

I read in a group on Facebook: Montelukast (singulair) side effects support and discussion group, it may be helpful that it was one of the side effects. They have several resources listed in the group. Please report any side effects.
