Post COVID fatigue

Just noticed that my last post 9 months ago was about me having COVID which I got over pretty quickly. Had it again two weeks ago and this time totally zonked. Got fuzzy head and headaches, upset stomach, funny taste in mouth and shattered. Sleeping ok and eating ok going nowhere near alcohol. Just wondered if anyone has had similar symptoms?

Had covid twice, symptoms both times where different. I presumed each time was a different strain of the virus

Commiserations Noddy66. I've just had it, was very relieved that it wasn't too bad. Now though I have sinusitis, extreme fatigue (I already have CFS). Yesterday I felt so weird that I found the old oximeter and sats were 89 dropping to 82 before my eyes. Fortunately O2 was back to 96 by bed time and 97 this morning. I'll continue to drink effervescent vitamin c 1000mg daily to keep up immunity.

Good luck to you

hi. I had the new Covid vaccine in end of May two days later I had red patch which got bigger after a few days along with a mild wheeze. The wheeze turned into a full infection and two antibiotics and two lots of steroids later I am just getting back to some kind of normal I am on Nucala for a year now with no asthma symptoms. So I won’t be getting the new vaccine again. Hope you are well now and thanks for posting this.

I've had it twice, and had those symptoms both times - along with joint pain and non-stop coughing. Took months for my sense of taste and smell to return to normal. The first time I had it was pre-vaccine and it sent my asthma from being very occasional and mild to constant. Second time was post-vaccine and not nearly as bad, but it still left me wiped out and with an asthma flareup that lasted for a couple of months. So take it steady, don't overdo things and bear in mind that your lungs are likely to be more twitchy than usual for the next couple of months.

Thanks for all your comments, feel somewhat reassured. A few days on I feel a little better. Worst thing is brain fog but funny taste in mouth has gone. So getting plenty of rest and fresh air. Cheers.

Glad to hear you are feeling better. There are no 'short cuts' as such, but good rest certainly helps!
