I had my first benralizumab injection last month and second injection yesterday. Throughout last month I was experiencing sinus symptoms for the first time and since the injection yesterday these have felt much stronger. I was wondering has anyone else experienced this on Farsena as a side effect?
Thank you!

Hii ,i had my 1st injection 29 th Jan , i had the same sinus bunged up ,cold symptoms and now back on antibiotics with a upper respiratory infection .My GP wasnt sure if it was side effects or if i had caught a cold ,so it is interesting to find someone who had same problem .Im due next injection on 22nd of Feb ,fingers crossed not the same .Did you get aches ? I had achy legs for few days behind my knees but again GP doesnt know enough about biologics to know if this was a side effect or just me as i have just been disgnosed with osteoarthritis.
If you have severe allergies, you might want to have your physician check into giving you both Xolair and Fasenra. They work differently, but cooperatively for many of us.
I had undiagnosed/misdiagnosed hypereosinophilic syndrome for at least 30 years before it was finally diagnosed. Then Dr Amy Klion at the US’ National Institutes of Health (NIH), recommended since I was already on Xolair for my severe allergies. Then, with the first injection of Fasenra — 5.5 years ago — I stopped producing all eosinophils. It didn’t magically cause all the damage to disappear — but it stopped any new damage from occurring.
All medications can have difficult side effects — the trick is finding medications that either reduce or eliminate the damage at the lowest cost.
All the symptoms you describe were symptoms I had from eosinophils, not from the drugs to treat it. Good luck!
Feel free to write if I can answer any questions. Debbie
Hi, I've been on Fasenra now for 13 months, have not experienced any sinus pain, it seemed to take a few months to really work for me and the only side effects I have noticed have been wight loss and tiredness which may or may not be related to Fasenra, good luck on your journey.
I have been on Benralizumab for 3 years and it gives me a sore throat. I had significant sinus disease and it sorted that as well. However sinus pain is listed as one of the side effects. Most side effects usually settle. I have to say that no side effects would stop me taking Benralizumab, it has given me my life back.
