Xolair experience with Germany and Switzerland

Hi all,

I've been posting here for about two years now, I found this to be the best forum for asthma questions and support!

My wife and I have now moved to Switzerland permanently, but I hope to continue checking this form. May I ask if anyone here is familiar with getting Xolair in Germany or Switzerland? I remember seeing posts for France, saying that experience there was mostly positive (easier to get Xolair). I will most likely have insurances in both Germany or Switzerland. I have enough Xolair and other pills for the next 2 months, and I have a private appointment scheduled in a week with an asthma specialist.

I am hopeful that you will be able to get the medications that you need easily. I have no experience with anything other than United States insurance companies. I just went through getting all my meds switched over with a change of insurance. Phew! It took 3 weeks and many phone calls!

Thank you, Tree! Did you manage to have USA insurance take you in with the Xolair?

Yes, as long as I sign up with copay assistance through the Xolair company. I follow their rules and I pay $5/month with this company. The last one it was complely covered. I used to pay $150/month. It depends on my insurance. 🤷
