I honestly didn’t expect to be in this position when on xolair?! Now I’m on double the amount of medication AND Xolair!?

Should I stick with it or just go nah, feck it!

I stuck with it. I just got my 32nd dose. The first 6 months, my asthma was bad. Lots of prednisone by mouth. Then we were able to wean off prednisone. I was off for 5 months. 12 day course. Off oral prednisone for 15 months! 12 day course to get over a flair triggered by a cold.

I have better PF than before I started Xolair. And I'm off prednisone longer.

Same here took quite a while to feel the effects, but until this recent bout of cold at Christmas thought I had turned a corner. I would keep at it

Follow your consultant’s advice.

Good luck and I hope things improve for you.

Xolair does not work for all. For some it gives back life for others like myself after each dose I had a reaction and an asthma attack and was pushed in a wheelchair 10 mins or less by the person doing the injection into A&E, and required overnights in hospital. It was stopped on medical advice, in the end, treatment should make you better or improve life if it is not why suffer? Talk to the consultant and get their opinion. There are other treatments. God bless you kind regards Lara

Thank you, I was not disappointed as most things do not work. I try to never get upset anymore as it downs my mood and life enjoyment I also rarely believe the new consultant who says I can fix you. However, in 2010 2011 I did and was most often down when nothing changed or I was in the hospital again. God bless you kind regards Lara

Been looking for people that take xolair for chronic hives , I been on it almost year and it has helped me so much, just wondering if anyone has had any side effects from the xolair, etc . I know it has nothing to do with your condition but was wondering just looking for people who get the injections. Thanks

I no longer have it for my asthma as it didn’t help enough but I didn’t have any side effects from it at all apart from a sore injection arm on a few of them 😊
