Xolair and pregnancy

Hello all,

I am currently on xolair for severe asthma, been on it for about a year now. It’s been brilliant, and I feel like I have a good quality of life again. I’m just wondering if anyone has been on xolair and got pregnant ?? Was you able to keep receiving your injections?? Did it affect your pregnancy, I.e was your pregnancy monitored more closely. Me and my partner are looking at trying for a baby in the near future , however this is something that I would love to know more about, before we make a definite decision to start trying . thank you for anyone that can help.

Hi Imogen, I don’t have any advice I’m afraid but I recall a similar post recently-ish with lots of comments - perhaps you could search for that on the group? There’s also info online (guess you know anyway) but it’s always good to hear real experiences!

Thank you ☺️ Yes I’ve spent loads of time looking online and got meetings with the hospital about it all. Just wondered if there had anyone else in my position, that had been on xolair and become pregnant. Thank you anyway x

I have no idea I’m afraid, but I would suggest you speak to your health professionals for something like this, rather than take the words of a forum! 🤷‍♀️

Thank you. Of course I’m going to speak to my healthcare professionals. I have a meeting with them soon about it . Just wanted to know peoples real life experiences, who are in the same position as me.
