Hello, I had asthma as a child up to 14 years old and then it went away for nearly 50 years. After a general anaesthetic I starting with breathing issues which was diagnosed with asthma without any formal tests as this was in 2021 during COVID restrictions. After just over a year on Clenil Modulite 100 x twice a day, my voice has become really raspy and I have bumps on the side of my tongue, which don't hurt but I am aware of. Are these "normal" side effects of inhaller use please?

Hi there, do you rinse your mouth after using the inhaler? Do you use a spacer? It may be worth checking your inhaler technique 🤗
is it thrush? can be caused by inhaler, was given Nystatin tabs but haven’t had to use them as cleared up by rinsing well, using spacer. My dalek/ mini mouse voice loss is due to M.E but worth having yours checked just in case.X
Try a different inhaler - or try a reduced dose if possible? I had similar reaction to Spiriva within days of starting to take it - I sounded as though I’d smoked heavily for years!
