Off I go again
Fingers the steroids kick in soon - having a regular the it happens is kind of helpful in that you know it passes when the steroids kick in - bit getting to that stage can indeed be a bit rubbish. Hang in there, sleep when you can (again arghh steroids!), drink plenty and rest!
Thanks Twinkly for replying. Managed to put some washing on. Make another coffee and maybe read. I am not a good patient!!! Think it's, going to be a long summer as, will prob flare up again as, usually I get relief for a couple weeks, then off it goes, again until early SeptMore steroids will be, needed. Hope you OK x
Hi hope you’re feeling better soon, I found puzzles helpful.
It's so hard. I just got over a month-long flare and a course of pred. It's such a smack in the face when you're feeling fine and suddenly miserable and anxious that you may need to go to the hospital. Can you be gentle on yourself while you recover? Rest a lot and watch silly TV shows or movies to distract yourself? I find that helps while you're waiting for the pred to kick in and do its thing (and while you ride out the side effects!) Sending a hug.
We are all here for you..it is very very hard at times .. ,,but you are stronger than you think..and you know your body better than anyone..keep listening to your body and keep strong..sending a hug..Helen x
Hi! This from a long time prednisone user. Each time I had to resort to them. I felt just like you. But it’s more important to breathe, right. ? I’m sure your Doc or Nurse will bring you off slowly when it’s time. I now take 4 Mg every day. Keeps my BP normal and it levels the arthritis. I’m going to try to get down to 2.5. Best wishes to you. Keep the faith and feel better!
