I have noticed the Asthma UK and BLF websites have changed their advice on wearing face masks. Last year when face coverings became compulsory the websites advised against it and had downloadable exemption cards. Both organisations are now saying they can be worn by people with lung conditions for a short period of time. I would like to know if this change of advice was based on scientific evidence and if so who carried out the research and where is the scientific paper.
I refuse to wear a mask as I have enough trouble breathing with fixed airways asthma and bronchiectasis. If anyone knows please let me know.
