Intense back pain when laying down flat
Yes!! Since upping my fostair to 4 x a day (so 8 puffs)
I also get bad cramp. Wasn’t sure if it was linked x
Oh my.. Since they upped my relvar ellipta to the max dose is the same!
It’s not linked directly to asthma (ie it’s not the asthma that’s giving the issue so asthma meds won’t stop it), but it MAY be a side effect of asthma drugs, or of a breathing pattern disorder issue or something completely unrelated and be a tight muscle or something like that.
I’d advise going to see someone about it (like an osteopath or physio) to see if they can help (as privately they’ll be able to see if it’s a musculoskeletal issue almost immediately which is sounds like it’s likely to be). You might also want to ask your GP to investigate the cause if it is related to your inhaler (like low potassium or something) and they may decide to change your preventer.
But I really would suggest ruling out a more general physical MSK cause first!
Thank you for helping me, they put me on relvar ellipta max dose recently
I also get lung crackles caused by mucus when i stand up, only the first breath. But this was already present before the bad back pain start
Hi mine aches when I'm moving around, it's at both sides of spine and some time lower down the back, its usually when I'm trying to get air out and pushing so it might be aching from trying etc! I don't get the aches when laying down and no crackling, when I had that I had to get antibiotics as it was sign of infection etc? Are you coughing and bringing up mucus at all? When was last time u got checked out from Dr's for infection?
Hi. My sister suffers terrible from back pain. Been to drs and a and e. Said it was caused by taking a lot of steroids. She too gets it when laying down.
