Asthma
It's impossible to say unfortunately whether it's "better". Everyone responds differently to different inhalers, so some will say oh it's brilliant and others will say it's rubbish.
Sirdupla is fluticasone (steroid) and salmeterol (long-acting bronchodilator/LABA)
Symbicort is budesonide (steroid) and formoterol (LABA).
So it may well be that a complete change will be really good for you.
It will take a good 8 weeks (average) for the new inhaler to kick in so try to give it that time to fully embed (and any side effects, if you get any, should lessen in that time too). It's also common to feel as if it's not helping or feel worse initially as you're going from a built-up preventer to your body thinking it has nothing as the new one is totally new. It's common to need more reliever initially and if you're struggling please do speak to your nurse or doctor as sometimes people need a short course of oral steroids to cover the gap - not everyone does though so hopefully you won't! But hopefully in a couple of months you'll have found an inhaler that's improved things for you.
