I am asthmatic classed at very high risk.
I was refused the Covid19 vaccine the day after two healthcare professionals that was in the News, had a reaction after their vaccine. I feel I have just been left since then. I have just been left.

Are you CEV? Have you had the shielding letters?
The UK are currently calling those in Group 4 for the vaccination (clinically extremely vulnerable). From the little that you say, you had an appointment but it was cancelled and you were told it was because there were concerns over possible reactions to the vaccination. I assume your GP took that decision and discussed it with you? I'm not aware that anyone else would be involved in cancelling your appointment and so you should talk to your GP about a new appointment.
I concur with Poobah - in your position, I would be proactive, call up your GP and discuss this further - maybe - if that severe - you need a period of surveillance 'just in case' and the exact manner of this would depend on your discussion. As far as I am aware, both reactors required their Epipen, but then that is what it is there for, and to have some protection against the virus I would think is a high priority. Just to add - you have clearly done very well to arrive at this point after a very trying year - well done you! We are similarly on a minimal contact regimen - once a week shopping, early when it is quiet. We have had our first vaccine [just], one AZ, one Pfizer, all well ... and importantly, although not stated, we will continue the same way for at least 3 weeks to give the immune system a chance ... and probably after that, at least until a large pro[portion of the population has been vaccinated - so, a long haul - you are certainly not alone. Best Wishes.
That sounds a bit off. I had mine the other day. It was really well organised and everyone was very well taken care of. After the vaccination everyone was given a timer and waited in a large hall for 15 minutes or however long it was.
There was a qualified nurse as well as several helpers patrolling the ‘recovery’ room keeping an eye on people and there was also a large red backpack of the type you see paramedics carrying which I imagine had resuscitation equipment in it. Someone from another group pointed out the other day that it is easier to recover from even a bad asthmatic attack than it is to recover from covid. Don’t know how true that is but I can see that it might be. So I’d speak to your GP and find out exactly what was going on.
The greatest risk factors in Covid infection outcome are age and obesity , controlled asthma is not one of them . None of us can help our age , but losing weight is a good idea for anyone who exceeds their recommended BMI .
After what I witnessed having had covid and being in ICU For a month, you are exactly correct, would not wish covid on anyone. Get the vaccine
