Shielding extension post from earlier - taken down????!!!!

Hi All

Just wondering if I was missing something..?? I’m sure that there was a post earlier today ( sorry can’t remember who from!) re the possible shielding update advice from government today? But I can’t find it now...? Has it been taken down and if so can someone just explain to me why please?? I don’t understand...???

Presumably the poster chose to delete it?

There isn't necessarily going to be an update today - I think shielding is being reviewed this week so an update may not be today (and will probably be vague as to those to whom it's applicable which will incite widespread stress and panic.... not that I don't have faith in a convincing, well thought out message based on medical evidence or anything 😅)

There was one asking if anyone was anxious about the update, it’s been taken down, don’t know why.

twinkly29.... I’m sure 15th June was definitely mentioned as a review date but I guess they might not announce any decisions until later in the week maybe?

Oh yes, I think they are reviewing today/this week. I just hope that they actually plan it properly before sharing their random thoughts....I can but hope!

just got a call from work asking how i am. she said that she's spoken to others who have received shielding extension letters today that take them until August 16th.

i personally have yet to receive either an extension or a downgrade notification.

Thanks for the info - it’s interesting.

I knew that they had extended shielding in Wales ( and Scotland) but both are different - so a bit confusing anyway.

That might be a bit difficult for you too if you live in England and work for a Welsh company?? With potentially different shielding dates??

Wales has already decided to extend shielding to 16th August. England have yet to make a decision, disappointingly.
