Hi I have been using fexofenadine for several years for me it is far better than any over the counter a histamine. I am on 180mg tablet every day. I believe they also come in 120mg.

I read you can’t drink apple juice with this med, but I was wondering if you could eat apples?

I am on it and eat loads of apples - so far not noticed anything. However, looking it up, it seems taking the tablets with apple, orange or grapefruit juice can reduce absorption of the drug, and can also have that effect if you have those juices immediately before or after.

It doesn't mention the whole fruit and my impression is that you could also have the juice a few hours later or earlier and it wouldn't affect absorption. I could however be wrong on this. I don't drink much fruit juice normally in any case, but if I wanted to get the max effect (eg now when pollen is a beast) might avoid them entirely to ensure I'm absorbing it.

Do you have other symptoms other than asthma? I know I'm struggling with the current pollen season more than usual but it's only making my asthma worse.

Yes it’s a higher dosage of antihistamines but you can only get them on prescription. I’ve been on them for years, I swapped from desloratatine, which were pretty similar

Yes fexofenadine comes in 3 strengths 60, 120 and 180 and can be taken more than once a day (if prescribed that way)

The over the counter stuff isn't as strong I was switched from over the counter loratidine after I breathed in a load of dust and sneezed blood for a week

Yes. Different strengths depending on what you are prescribed it for,

Yes, I’ve been on this for over 2 years and it really helps with all my allergies and a specially hayfever

I find it works on and off. Either I’m fine on it or I reach a point where it actually seems to make me worse. I never take it consistently for long periods or without alternating with another antihistamine now to stop myself becoming resistant to it.

I started on fexofenadine 180mg about 2 years ago, my hay fever was unmanageable before taking it. I have to take it all year round now as I seems to help with my asthma, I also use Avamys nasel spray during high pollen season.
