Perhaps it is phlegm that you feel sticking in your throat, Amanda1982 drew, try drinking plenty water, or maybe you need a change of preventer inhaler...Hope things improve for you, & wishing you well..xx

At present im on antibiotics and steroids. I dont seem to be bringing phlegm up its so annoying. It kind of feels like heartburn because i get a burning sensation in chest and throat. Thank you for reply.

Hi, when I had that problem with my throat like yours, I bought some Daktarin oral gel which is for oral thrush, it worked. Steroid inhalers can cause oral thrush.

Also natural yoghurt with no added sugar helps soothe as well as get rid of the thrush.

Could it be acid reflux?

Have you been tested for acid reflux? I have this and I have also been diagnosed with ILO induced laryngeal obstruction as well as my asthma it’s worth getting it checked.

I wonder ifI have this if it’s a legit diagnosis. I have acid reflux. GP commented that my tonsils were massive during a checkup, took swabs, the results for the swabs went missing (apparently) and then it was never brought up again even though I told them my partner at the time said I stopped breathing in my sleep and I have major trouble swallowing. That was years ago.

I get that a lot. I have acid reflux, allergies, get post nasal drip and sometimes tonsil stones. All of them cause that sensation so it’s usually one or all of those things. I find drinking carbonated water helps the burny, itchy irritated sensation.

Hi Amanda. Exactly the same. Constant nasal drip. Back of throat tickles when breathing through mouth. Not solved it yet.
