Hi I am on fostair 100/6 and have been told to take 4 puffs twice a day along with montelukast and my reliever as my asthma isn't controlled. Is this the same dosage as the inhaler up from it, fostair 200/6 2 puffs twice a day? Thanks

That's correct. They only do that when the pharmacist can not get 200/6
I wasn't put on it for that reason. Im being told now that it's equivalent to 200/10 or 200/12 so its more than what you would take if you were on 200/6..not sure what to go by but either or I hope it helps this bad flare
I am just saying that is what its the same as I have a friend who is on that dose and that's the reason as she has friends who are doctor's and she wanted to double check something with them for me
No its not. 100/6 refers to the amount (measured in micrograms) of different drugs used in this combination inhaler. 100 refers to the steroid component, and 6 refers to the long-acting bronchodilator component. So if in the morning you took your 100/6 * 4 puffs you would be inhaling 400/24 of these drugs, if you took 200/6 for 2 puffs, you would be inhaling 400/12 of these drugs, therefore less long-acting bronchodilator component with the dosage from the 200/6 inhaler.
