I’m on symbicort 2puffs 2x daily. I’ve been experimenting with the 4 doses in a 24 hr period. I’ve found I get better results with the turbo inhaler 3x daily. One 200 dose each time. Has anyone done this before? I also save one capsule daily.

Yes, I was advised once to do it, when I had a flare. At that point I was taking eight doses per day, due to the flare. So I tried and found it didn’t work for me as I tended to forget especially the third one, the afternoon one. But for that I may we’ll have continued. I have never heard an argument against it.
I have used Symbicort turbo inhaler for years 2+2 daily, last month I received a very small odd looking object in its place , dislike it immensely,
Fobumix Easyhaler. It doesn’t reach the right parts.
My Ventolin inhalers two arrived half size CFC you would need Lungs like a Bull to get it to its intended destination. Both 0/10 I want my Old ones back I am due for a repeat script, I will ring reception and ask for the Doctor to give me a call at his convenience and ask to have my inhalers reinstated. This month has ended up with me on a rescue pack.
I have never been offered any alternatives, but there again I do not visit the Doctor.
Hi Sneejer. Interesting - Symbicourt is a long acting bronchidilator so each dose is claimed to last 12 hours. But if your new regime works...
But I would definitely tell your asthma nurse at your annual review that you've changed your daily routine & feel better for it.
I was told to take Symbicourt as a rescue inhaler above my daily 2 x 2 dose and to stop my Ventolin use. I found that my dependency on Symbicourt increased & I was taking it way too much. Now I'm not using it as a rescue inhaler things have settled down again.
I hope your new regime continues to be successful.
I know a chronic lung PT who does symbicort 2 puffs twice daily while well but splits it up when sick : 2 puffs at 8am, 1 puff at 2p and 8pm.
