After taking oral steroids i feel good and can breath well.I can get 500 on peak flow meter . But i cannot control it with my inhalers. After a few weeks i am 350 on peak flow and after a few more weeks i am 300 then down to 200 .

Then i am back for oral steroids and the whole thing starts again.Does anyone else have this problem . I am on trelegy powder inhaler and think i need to change to see if another inhaler can keep me at a constant level.

I think you definitely need to see your GP or consultant if you are under the hospital as it sounds like they need to review your meds. I'm still on preds (have been for weeks now) and tried to reduce down (got to 15mg) but ended up in a+e on thursday, so back up to 30mg a day. You shouldn't need to rely on pred if your asthma is well controlled. Definitely make an appt for review xx

I agree with Ghoulette. It sounds like you need a med review and maybe an add on therapy (montelukast etc etc) to get you back under control. Good luck and hope things settle for you soon

You might be better with an aerosol inhaler and a spacer. Make very sure your inhaler technique is good. Of course you must discuss all your options with your consultant as relying on pred. is not good.

Thanks i am now having blood tests and having my meds looked into.

I am hoping to not rely on preds so much in future

So sorry to hear that. Sounds like a terrible flare. Take good care and make sure you see your GP regularly til this is under control. Sending healthy vibes.

Sounds like you need to see your Asthma Nurse/Doc until your Asthma is stabilised.
