Recently moved and was quite ill in Sep but managed to sort myself out as had not yet joined a surgery. Started feeling ill on Wed, chesty cough and wheezing but was reluctant to contact the surgery as their appointments are difficult to get. Starting to get really bad so eventually phoned on Thursday. They could not have been more helpful. Nurse phoned me back, then duty doctor phoned who said he had read my asthma history and would be prescribing a rescue pack of antibiotics and steroids. Halleluia! But added if I was still ill on Mon then to let him know - how fantastic is this! Feeling so much better this morning.

Your doctors sound like my GP surgery who have an outstanding rating of their practice.
I know if I ever need to see a doctor for my asthma I can always talk to a day the same day.
