Hi everyone. Had sinus surgery ( FESS and Polypectomy) 2 weeks ago to help reduce sinusitis and chest infections but seem to have ended up with a persistently runny nose and a reduced sense of smell. Anyone else had this problem after surgery, if do how long did it last?

I had the same op and for a while I had the same problem as u but things improved as time went by and ended up with a great smell sensation and generally much better insofar as chest and sinus infection are concerned. Really pleased I had the op. which took place about 4 yrs ago. Hope that’s helpful
Hey I just had this op 3 months ago and I'm better then before the op. I had sinusitis, post nasal drip, polyps. However it's been really hard to keep the inflammation down from allergies. The smell will return in about two months.
Thanks for this. Sense of smell seems to be coming back, but still got the runny nose. Not sure if this us normal but will give it a few more weeks.
