Hi everyone, thought I would write again. Being tested for suspected Asthma, had x-ray, CT scan, spirometry and allergy test last week. Just got letter in to say doctor has referred me for another CT scan in October...Not sure why, I suspect I may have a bit of asthma, but I feel my lungs are restricted, they found lung scarring on x ray, so am guessing they me be checking to see if it is getting worse or something? Just wondered if anyone else had two CT scans.
Thanks

I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 12. They took an x-ray, measured my peak flow and finally performed the methacholine challenge. All of my tests came back positive but I never had to have a CT, good luck with everything though ☺
Hi, I had a CT scan after my X-ray. It does sound as though they are double-checking your lungs, especially if, like you say you have some scarring. An X-ray doesn't give the clearest view, whereas a CT scan will give them a 360 degree look at your lungs. They are just being thorough. I worried myself sick, which didn't do me any good at all! Good luck. 😊
