Indoor air pollution
Interesting, but not surprising. Thanks for the link. x
Indeed! But it is good if it is (nearly?) front page news! I personally can’t stand woodburners, and several of our friends seem to have them. Go for solar panels instead, I say! Not that we have any........
Lol, we got solar panels a few years ago. They are useful. I do regret not being able to have a fireplace, but I can't have everything. I miss being able to have a dog more. My daughter is desperate for a pet, but the best we can manage is a gold fish.
There seem to be some rather realistic electric fires these days........We have gas central heating and a gas fire, not new at all, but it looks OK. My only problem with it is when my husband turns it up high and it seems to suck all oxygen out of the air. He has kind of learn to be a bit more modest about it. Pets for children, yeah, I remember. Our daughter, an only, has always been and still is cat mad, and we tested them and it seemed OK, but eventually was less so, as she is both mildly atopic and had asthma. Still, we didn’t have the pain of having to part with them, as she grew up and left home. The cats lived til old age. She now has a Siberian, deliberately, and for her that has worked. We also had fish periodically, and stick insects! That was interesting, but not so good for cuddles. And an ant farm.........her mother (me) was not so happy at that, especially as they were there one day and gone the next.
