I was prescribed symbicort. I haven't started yet because of laba scare reports. I would like to know from others that are using symbicort and if it's working for them. Mostly reviews from others.

My main issues with Symbacort were it was 8 puffs a day and being a dry powder I had lots of problems with my voice. Hoarseness and no voice despite gargling after each inhalation. At present I have no voice . I changed to Relvar last Wednesday. Maybe I’ll need to change to inhaler that can be used with spacer . Not aware of any problems with Symbacort. What are they?

Thats good to know that powders side affects. Have you tried the regular type liquid myst ( not powder? ) That's what type I have. It would be good to know how others results with it.

I have taken symbicort for years but your mention of laba scare reports has alarmed me! Please can you tell me more as Google didn't turn up anything.

They might have taken out the article I've read ...that had some deaths because of the long-acting beta agonists ( laba). That's why I'm trying to get more opinions on everyone who is taking it, to see how long they have been taking it. Please keep taking your meds till you find something better. I'ts just my research and my opinion. I believe that once your on it for a period of time..I believe that's when it affects your asthma worse when you try to wean off of it.

I did read that LABA has caused some deaths in some patients. Don't mean to scare anyone....Search and Ask google if long-acting beta agonists ( LABA ) has caused some deaths in patients...and see what you will find.

I have been on Symbicort for three years and it has a real difference. Before I was on Clenil and even if suggested I wouldn’t go back on that as it always made me cough, even though I used a spacer. Symbicort works really well for me. Overall my asthma is more stable, and my best peak flow has been better since I started on it. I wasn’t aware of any scare reports. What are they?
