Xolair Update

Well yesterday I had my 6th shot of Xolair.

Got to be honest, it’s no fun every month travelling an hour each way, then having an injection in each limb.

BUT my goodness, I honestly (touches lots of wood) think it’s working!!!

No real side effects that I can see or feel, in fact I feel (apart from a cold) the best I’ve felt in months!!

Yay!!!!!!!!! Long may it continue.

Very pleased for you, I have tried Xolair and Mepolizumab and no good for me, I travel into London from Surrey but definitely worth it if works x

Maybe Reslizumab which is given intravenously but works in the same way

That's fantastic!! May it continue! I'm being considered for Xolair so it's nice to see it seems to be working for you.

Glad it's working I been on it for 2 years stopped a lot of the chest infections I was getting..my only issue is I'm ill for three days after but I weigh it up and they're worth it x

I get all the reactions known to this ..I can be sick I feel like I got the flu I get a rash on my face ..some months better than others bit always get a,reaction last for 48 hours x

That’s fabulous I’m really pleased for you. I’ve just had my first one two weeks ago. When did you start feeling the benefits? I really hope it works for you I know you ha e to arrange your life around it but I don’t care if it works 😊

I think it took about 3 months for me to feel a difference. But some people see a difference sooner.

I hope it works for you. When it works it seems to be a wonder drug!!

I’ve been on xolair 4 months now 😁 it’s not reduced my admissions massively but oh my god has it helped day to day!

I’ve gone from only being able to walk a couple of hundred metres before getting symptoms to returning to full time placement in hospital! I absolutely love the stuff!
