I’m on it (not a child tho 😉). For me it’s the best one as it doesn’t ‘feel’ the same as the other nasal sprays as it’s more ‘spray’ than ‘squirt’. Personally don’t have any side effects on it!

Good luck and I hope it works well for him x

My son was on avamys for a few months when he was 5/6, then he developed eye/ vision problems and stopped taking it. we haven't found anything that keeps his nose clear and he has started breathing through his mouth most of the time, which is not great when you have asthma. Hope avamys works for your little boy!

I'm an adult and take it and find it brilliant - I was previously on nasonex which didn't have the steroids in.

Previously I always had a runny nose, now my nose is really good.

My eyes itch less too :)

Hiya on avamys too. Am an adult too, am on it due to blocked sinuses which have no physiological reason to be. I have no side affects due to taking it. I was on a salt nasal spray once which wasn't good caused me to have nosebleeds.

I’m not a child but have recently switched to it for post-nasal drip symptoms from mometasone spray, found it to be much better, doesn’t sting as much as mometasone did. I have found it’s not effective if I don’t blow my nose before using it so it’s costing me a lot more in tissues, and I can’t go into Lush shops anymore as I can actually smell them now ;) being able to go in there without being overwhelmed used to be my superpower…
