Has anyone else noticed allergy symptoms now october is here? All my pollen apps say low pollen or no pollen but there is definitely something when I step outside that is getting me.

Mould/fungus spores are out this time of year - it could be this you’re reacting to... for me it was the change in temperature that’s hits me worse when I go out! X

I know there is no pollen I agree but definitely mould spores are up. See the below link worcester.ac.uk/discover/po...

I am always testing negative to mould spores on skin prick tests but I am reacting everytime I open my door. So unpleasant.

I tested negative to mould too in Ig blood test. I had a full Ig test last November ordered by respiratory consultant. It was very helpful and confirm that I was very allergic to house dust mite. (My old asthma nurse told me I had allergic asthma and probably house dust mite) how right she was. Twenty years experience she had.

Skin prick tests are not accurate in predicting how your asthma will react. An ige blood test response is better.

I have seen skin pricks are not accurate.

IGe tests I had done was for a wide spectrum of allergics from Timothy grass to mould. It didn't rule out hayfever and I had that really bad this year. I had to have prescribed anti histamines. I am hoping we all stay well this autumn/winter.

I'd stopped using Avamys but think I need to start again based on my nose. I score negative for everything on allergy tests and have non-allergic asthma but still have hayfever so this just means I don't know what triggers the hayfever.

Lungs are also unhappy but they usually are atm.

I seem to have got a cold, and I haven't even been outside, but I am on my period, and my immunity does mess up a lot...

Oh and it's probably mould spores in my bedroom adding to it. Need to clean a section of wall.. Need to get a Dehumidifier actually!

It’s a high mould time all the mushrooms and toadstools are busy putting out spores.

I am triggering whenever I go outside - for me it is a combo of weather (cold damp windy) and leaf mould. Also still some harvesting going on here so dust in the air from that.

Hope you feel better soon xxx

Totally agree with you. I have never been tested for allergies but I know that I suffer all year round. I have recently been prescribed Fexofenadine 120mg, a prescription antihistamine, it really helps

I suffer with severe allergies to pollen and mould spores which triggers my asthma symptoms. August to December (basically from when the season changes until the cold snap sets in) is when I suffer my worst symptoms- I call it my hay fever season. Pretty much suffer with a constant itchy/swollen throat and a night wheeze.

I totally sympathise with you and hope your symptoms start to resolve themselves soon ☺️

Hi there, this time of year it is likely to be mould spores. If I have a flare up it is usually due to pollen/mould spores or other irritants. Can you up your preventative meds ?

My hay fever is always worse spring and autumn I was told it’s tree and fungi that causes it also grass esp it’s being cut although I’ve never been tested for it

It is mould season , leaves falling off trees and rotting causes molds
