Hello
Sorry I don’t have Mepo ( so can’t comment on it) but have self injected Benra for about 12 months now. For me it’s been a game changer.. my asthma is so much better it’s unbelievable really. I do get a bit of a headache for a day or two after but nothing else of note🤞
Am a little concerned about possible long term side effects but you have to weigh up the pros and cons for your own circumstances and for me I have taken the chance!
I hope the Mepo works as well for you.. biologics really can be a life changer for a lot of people!
Good Luck
😊👍
I have been on Mepo since May 2017, it has given me my life back, I have not missed a day off work due to asthma since I was swapped to Mepo
I was started on Omalizumab (Xolair) March 2013 for the 1st 2 years it helped reduce my hospital admissions and I could stop 4x daily nebs, and came off Uniphyllin, all was well until I had a bought of pneumonia and things started getting worse.
Since I was swapped I have not had any hospital admissions nor have I needed any steroids,
I am off Salbutamol, I am still on Montelukast, Fostair, Spiriva and Carbocisteine.
I am also on meds for high blood pressure, cholesterol, acid reflux and a recent heart attack.
Mepolizumbab changed my life I would recommend it it to anyone. I have been on it for nearly 3 years.
