Getting around faulty inhaler.

I use a Qvar Easi-breathe but this is the second faulty one I've had. So to get around the problem of it not delivering when I suck, I just take the top off and press as you do when testing it. I do this when it's in my mouth though and I suck at the same time. Is this the same method as a different type of inhaler?

Thanks for replying. However, I already have the leaflet as it comes in the packet with the inhaler. The other link refers to 12 years ago and sadly does not address my question.

Take it back to the pharmacy. I had this problem with a different kind of inhaler. They sent it back to the manufacturer for testing.

I know you can do that with a salamol easibreath salbutamol so it should just be the same with a qvar one ( I work in a pharmacy and we have gave salamol a couple of times when ran out of ventolin on the bank holiday weekends when orders are missing)
