Hey, this mightn't help much as it depends on whether you are looking for actual count of eosinophils or %eosinophils.

But usually the lab at the hospital will have it's own reference range. There isn't one standard range across the whole country/world.

However, I did come across a study that found that average sputum eosinophil count in a healthy (non-atopic) Western population was between 0 and 0.042x10^6. The aim of the study was actually to try and establish the normal sputum eosinophil levels in a healthy population.

That might be expressed in a slightly different manner on your results, so it might read 420x10^3 or something for example. For eosinophil % (that is number of eosinophils as a % of the total cell count) ranges were 0-1.2%. But this was not a UK study.

If it's not written you can always ask them whether it fits in the reference range. I had a sputum culture done recently but it was to rule out TB rather than an eosinophil count so unfortunately I can't help you out in that regard.
