Asthma and fillings

Hello

I would be grateful for some advice.

I have asthma, 6 puffs a day of preventer inhaler. I'm a little bit of a nervous patient when attending the dentist. Part of my tooth broke so I need a new filling. Does anyone know if its ok to have the injection they give you to numb the gum before the filling, while taking my preventer inhaler medication? Many thanks

Hi Buckfizz19 I am sure it would be perfectly fine to have a numbing injection after taking a preventer.

I was at the dentist last week having two filings repaired and I am on a combination inhaler 2 puffs twice a day. I had no problems. Your dentist needs to know what inhalers you are on as a matter of course. Ie my dentist always ask me what medication I'm on covers all types including the pill.

I’m also a nervous patient. Never had a problem with numbing injections. Dentist is trained in pharmaceutical care too so just take a list of your medications
