chronic asthma and PIP

Anyone had experience of moving from DLA to PIP?

My DLA Is ending next month, even tho I had been given it indefinitely not just because of lifelong asthma but also other complications. I'm now stressed with wondering if I'll get PIP even with medical reports. We live in a rural area with no bus service and could lose the car too.. My wife has stage 4cancer so we could do without added worry and stress at 66.

Will be interested to hear about what others have gone through.

Hi, Thanks for your reply! Your experience sounds hopeful ! But i guess its luck of the draw as to who sees you, but i hope dont have a face to face....im gathering my medical evidence, prescription list, hospital report from my chest consultant, tho that was recently for investigating a nodule in lung over 3 years, but they reckon it isnt malignant. At least her report states 53% capacity and that they wouldnt be able to cut it out anyway as it was so deep and would leave me even more breathless. As i have diabetes (as a result of years of steroids treatment for ezcema and asthma) and an unrelated eye problem I just hope they wont call me in.

Sitting here the breathing is OK (still wheezing) but when i start doing tasks i get breathless, but of course the PIP questions just seem to be about how far you can walk! anyway can only wait and see. At least they continue to pay DLA so wont lose the car just yet. We are in rural area as we moved from city to avoid the pollution!

Thanks for your support it helps to chat with people.
