I was also changed from Seretide to Fostair quite a while ago but I find Fostair suits me much better. Seretide used to give me palpitations and I felt shakey on it but I do not get any of this with Fostair. My asthma has been very stable since I have been on Fostair 200 and I have even reduced the puffs from two twice a day to one twice a day. You can only try and see how it works for you and if it does not I am sure they will change you back. Good luck!

I tried flostair instead of seretide 250 but it didn't work for me. My symptoms returned when using flostair I started to cough after two days of being on fostair. Yes seretide is more expensive and takes longer to work (15mins). However my doctors surgery, my old and new asthma nurse never tried to change me over because of cost. The consence is that if this inhaler keeps me symptom free then it's worth it.

Autumn/winter can be my worst time but I went back up from 125 two puffs twice a day to on 250 beginning of September. So far this autumn I am symptomless apart from a mild stuffy cold and a blocked ear. Had to cancel my flu jab :-( I hope and pray Peggy that fostair suits you and keeps you well.
